Smart thinking Smart
recycling idea!
MP's Alan Whitehead and Mark Oaten introduced a 'Reuse of White Goods' act. The plan was to give all Fridges a 'residual value' so that they wherever they were, some one would have a good reason to take the old fridges to a disassembly point for recycling. This way, the CFC's (ozone depleting gases) would be disposed of safely. The theory behind it was this - if all rubbish has a value, then it will never get left anywhere, it will always end up where we want it to end up. Unfortunately, the bill ran out of time and was not adopted in the legislation for the next year of parliament… |
