Put reflective radiator panels (they are very cheap) behind radiators
to reflect heat back into the room. Alternatively, put aluminium foil
behind the radiators.
Make sure the heat from radiators is not blocked by furniture, carpets
or heavy curtains.

Cavity Wall insulation
Consider cavity wall insulation, which can save you up to £60/70 per

Loft Insulation
Loft insulation can save you up to 20% on your fuel bill. Make sure
it is at least 6 inches deep.

The Home Energy Efficiency Scheme provides government grants with which to help cover the cost of making your home more energy efficiency. If you are on low income or know someone who is you may be entitled to a grant.
